Is Everyone a Candidate for Dental Implants?
Not everyone is a good candidate for dental implants. A consultation with a dental implant dentist can determine if you are a good candidate

Dental implants are the most effective way to replace missing teeth, and as long as you properly care for your restoration, it will last you the rest of your life. However, just because you want dental implants really, really badly is not enough reason to get them. Our Beverly Hills dental implant expert will have to give you a thorough examination to see if you are a good candidate to receive an implant.
Here are some of the qualifications in order to be considered a good dental implant candidate:
• You should have healthy teeth and gums.
• You should have sufficient bone density that can support the implant. In cases where a person’s jaw bone is not strong enough, a bone graft may be performed to restore sufficient bone density.
• You should practice good dental hygiene.
• You do not suffer from an autoimmune disorder that could interfere with your ability to heal after the procedure.
• You do not smoke, or you are committed to quit smoking.
• You are willing to commit to the full length of the dental implant procedure, which is generally four to 12 months.
Talk with your dentist about your oral and overall health to see if you are able to receive dental implants.
