A Friends of Greystone Event
Opera & Dinner Event at the Historic Doheny Greystone Mansion Featuring Miki Yamashita
On Saturday, June 25th at 5:00 PM, the Friends of Greystone is pleased to welcome back singer and comedienne, Miki Yamashita, as she hosts another hilarious evening of your favorite selections from the world’s most popular operas. Back by popular demand, Yamashita and her diverse lineup of singers: mezzo-soprano Nandani Maria Sinha, tenor Ashley Faatoalia and baritone David Castillo, will delight you with their soaring voices and vibrant personalities.
Your evening begins with cocktails on the terrace overlooking beautiful city views, followed by Lawry’s delicious dinner carved and served from their famous silver cart. This memorable evening concludes with the Opera performance in the Living Room.
Known as “The Tina Fey of Opera,” Yamashita is a principal performer and teaching artist with the Los Angeles Opera. With her lyric soprano voice and comedy chops, Yamashita made her LA Opera mainstage debut in “Figaro 90210,” and has won over audiences singing in the company’s many Community Engagement tours throughout the city, playing roles as diverse as a hungry coyote to Turandot.
