A Friends of Greystone Event

On Saturday, July 30th at 6:00 PM, the Friends of Greystone will be featuring a musical revue showcasing actual costumes worn in original Hollywood films. Greg Schreiner, one of the most well-known collectors of movie costumes, has appeared on numerous television shows and is Curator of Special Collections at the Hollywood Museum. His costume collection houses over 300 masterpieces, the wardrobes of Gene Kelly, Bette Davis, Mae West, Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Katherine Hepburn, Julie Andrews, Bob Hope, Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire to name a few. Acclaimed vocalists will sing and dance while wearing the costumes, while Schreiner, a concert pianist, provides all the musical accompaniment and anecdotes about the costume designer, the movie and the scene for each costume.

HOLLYWOOD REVISITED, a Musical Revue, has won critical praise from movie buffs, film historians and city-wide newspapers. This spectacular performance will leave you in awe as you learn about and come close enough to touch these original historic costumes of Hollywood’s Golden Age. This will be an evening you won’t want to miss!

Founded in 2001 and comprised solely of volunteers, the Friends of Greystone is a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise funds to restore, preserve and protect the Doheny Greystone Estate, owned by the City of Beverly Hills and considered to be among California’s most luxurious residences south of Hearst Castle. Included in our goals is to provide educational programs to students, residents of Beverly Hills, and the general public. All funds raised go exclusively to the benefit of the Doheny Greystone Estate.

Parking is complimentary and guests are welcome to tour the first floor of the Mansion.
