Gronk's Theatre of Paint

CAFAM’s main gallery transforms into an interactive theatre set. Based on his work designing experimental opera sets for director Peter Sellars, Gronk’s site-specific theatre allows visitors to imagine themselves as performers, while also providing an active space for experimental stagings through the course of the exhibition. Ephemera and video from the past four decades traces his work in set design within a broader context of his longstanding art practice.
