How to Choose Between Invisalign and Braces
Choosing between Invisalign or braces can be difficult. Invisalign offers some aesthetic perks that braces do not.

Patients who require orthodontic work to be done are often left to decide: Invisalign or braces? There is no right answer to that question, as both treatment methods can prove to be very effective in the right circumstances. Still, there are some key differences between the two methods.
Invisalign has become very popular because it utilizes a clear plastic series of aligners in order to straighten the teeth. Due to their clear nature, the aligners are effectively invisible while they are being worn. This feature can be particularly important for those who do not wish to advertise to the world that they are undergoing orthodontic treatment. Additionally, the aligners are removable. Since you are supposed to remove the aligners before you eat or drink anything other than water, there are no dietary restrictions faced by Invisalign patients.
Braces do possess an advantage in certain scenarios, as they allow the orthodontist greater control over complex tooth movements. Invisalign is able to handle a wide range of orthodontic issues, but there are some cases in which braces may be necessary. If you are suffering from a particularly severe issue with your bite, or if your teeth need to be moved vertically or be substantially rotated, then braces may be required.
