LA Rams Owner Stan Kroenke Honored At Cedars-Sinai's Gala

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – The Cedars-Sinai's Board of Governors Gala will honor Los Angeles Rams owner Stan Kroenke and movie producer Gordon Gray and his wife Kristen Wednesday evening in Beverly Hills. Kroenke will receive the Board of Governors Visionary Award. Cedars-Sinai is the Rams official health partner, with the team and health care organization partnering on programs highlighting the importance of exercise, healthy eating, preventive health care and health education for school-age children and others.

The Grays will receive the inaugural Luminary Award for founding The Charlotte and Gwyneth Gray Foundation to Cure Batten Disease. Both of the Grays' daughters have been diagnosed with Batten disease, a fatal, inherited disorder of the nervous system that typically begins in childhood.

Over time, affected children suffer cognitive impairment, worsening seizures and progressive loss of sight and motor skills. The disease is often fatal by the late teens or twenties.

Gordon Gray has produced such films as "Secretariat," "Miracle," "Invincible," "Million Dollar Arm," "The Rookie" and "The Game Plan."

The gala benefits the Cedars-Sinai Regenerative Medicine Institute, which conducts research into the use of a patient's cells to treat skeletal disorders, Batten disease, Parkinson's disease, Lou Gehrig's disease and diseases of the brain, eye, pancreas, liver and blood.
