BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Officials confirmed Thursday that a Beverly Hills real estate developer who pleaded guilty to charges in the college admissions cheating scandal died by suicide on October 20, FOX 11 reported.

The outlet said that according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office, 66-year-old Robert Flaxman was found dead in his Malibu home in the 3200 block of Serra Road at about 10:15 a.m.

Prosecutors said that beginning in 2016, Flaxman conspired with Newport Beach’s William "Rick" Singer and others to bolster his daughter’s ACT score, according to FOX 11.
