"Extravaganza" To Honor Marvel Comic Legend

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – An event to commemorate and celebrate Marvel's Stan Lee, will be on August 22 at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills. The event is hosted Chris Hardwick and is open to the public. It will feature celebrity appearances by Tom Bergeron (Dancing with the Stars), Lou Ferrigno (The Incredible Hulk), Todd McFarlane (Spider-Man), Michael Rooker (Guardian's of the Galaxy, The Walking Dead), and more.

Lee is known as the co-creator of many Marvel comics: Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men, The Fantastic Four, and Iron Man, among others. The event will pay homage to Lee and his career, and proceeds raised from the campaign through the fundraising platform Omaze will support Make-A-Wish Foundation which grants life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses, according to the event press release.

The event begins at 6:00 p.m. and the Saban Theatre is located at 8440 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90211. Tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster and range from $65 for general admission to $350 for VIP which includes a meet-and-greet and the chance to attend the VIP after party.

Fans can also enter an Omaze contest for the chance to be flown out to Los Angeles and win a hotel stay and two front-row seats to the tribute.

For all of the Stan Lee fans that are unable to attend, the ceremony will be streamed live in movie theaters across the country.
