Mega Millions Jackpot Grows to $500M

There's still time to buy a Mega Millions lottery ticket for Friday's drawing, with an estimated jackpot of $500 million.

That's a record amount for the Mega Millions lottery. To win, you need to hit five numbers plus the Mega Ball.

Drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 8 p.m. Pacific Time. For Friday's drawing, an eligible ticket must be purchased by 7:45 p.m. Pacific Time the day of the drawing. If no one hits all six numbers Friday, the lottery will continue on to Tuesday. Those who hit five numbers without hitting the Mega Ball can also win prize money.
