Non-Credible Threat At Beverly Hills High Prompts Investigation
Police investigated a "concerning conversation about guns and safety" at Beverly Hills High School Friday.
BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Beverly Hills police and school district authorities investigated a "concerning conversation about guns and safety" at Beverly Hills High School Friday, according to an email from the superintendent apprehended by the Beverly Hills Courier.
Authorities determined there was no credible threat after conducting searches, interviews and threat assessments, said superintendent of the Beverly Hills Unified School District Michael Bregy.
The investigation began when a Beverly Hills High School student notified school authorities of a "concerning conversation" they overheard Friday.

The incident comes as school districts across the country address a TikTok challenge encouraging students to threaten gun violence at their schools. BHUSD warned parents of the challenge Thursday evening, and said they had already increased the police presence at Beverly Hills schools for Friday.
"We encourage all students, staff, and the community to act swiftly in these situations, just as this student did today. Please alert BHHS administration or a trusted adult immediately if they are concerned in any way about safety on campus," Bregy said in the email.
