Power Outage Affects DWP Customers Around The Grove
Residents and businesses surrounding The Grover were left without power amid the worst heat wave of the year Thursday due to a DWP outage.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A power outage Thursday was affecting the Fairfax district, including The Grove shopping and entertainment center and the Park La Brea apartment complex, according to authorities and reports from the scene.
The outage was reported about 3:30 p.m., but no information was available about the cause, the number of customers affected or when service was expected to be restored, according to Michael Ventre of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.
Crews were working to restore the affected circuit.

"Doing our very best and hoping service is back before 6 a.m.," the DWP announced on Twitter at 9:05 p.m.
