Rautenberg Foundation Makes Naming Gift to Jewish Federation's New Leaders Project

Part of Longstanding Association with the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles Which Provides Grantmaking and Philanthropic Expertise

The Erwin Rautenberg Foundation partnered with the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles to award a $500,000 grant to The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles to name its New Leaders Project (NLP), a premier civic leadership training program which trains emerging Los Angeles Jewish leaders. During the course of the program, NLP participants learn how to enhance their leadership capabilities, while also meeting with elected, civic and community leaders to address some of the most critical challenges facing Los Angeles.

Through a unique and longstanding association, the Jewish Community Foundation provides its philanthropic expertise and manages grantmaking for the Santa Monica-based Erwin Rautenberg Foundation, which was created by its late namesake to strengthen Jewish causes locally, in Israel and in other parts of the world.

At a recent ceremony at the Beverly Hills home of Lisa and Joshua Greer, the initiative, which began over 25 years ago, was renamed the Erwin Rautenberg New Leaders Project in his memory.
