1 Shot During Beverly Hills Restaurant Robbery
A woman shot at a popular Hollywood hangout has been transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA —One woman was shot during a robbery at Il Pastaio restaurant, a famed Italian restaurant near the intersection of Brighton Way and N. Canon Drive. The victim has been transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Beverly Hills police confirmed in a news release.
Police said they received a 911 call at around 2:09 p.m. Thursday that gunshots were fired during a robbery at the restaurant. A woman, who was with two others at the restaurant, was shot as three men tried to rob another patron." Witnesses told CBLA that the robbers were heard asking for a watch. One of the suspects shot the woman, and the three suspects fled the location on foot.
The woman was treated by Beverly Hills Fire Department Paramedics and was transported to a local hospital. A second victim was injured during the shooting and treated on the scene, police said. Images uploaded by onlookers to the Citizen app show a woman being transported on a stretcher, with an apparent injury to her leg, according to a report in Variety.

Beverly Hills detectives are investigating the incident. The area around the restaurant will be shut down for several hours.
The Canon Drive restaurant is a popular hangout for Hollywood celebrities and industry power lunches, according to Variety. Footage shows police tape cordoning off the popular outdoor patio area. The restaurant could not be reached for comment, and anyone trying to call will hear a busy signal.
