Sniff & Barkens Celebrates All Things Canine

They are our best friends. They ask so little and give so much. And now there’s a unique lifestyle publication that offers a unique look from their perspective.

Sniff & Barkens is a new canine loving publication that celebrates this amazing animal with whom we share our lives. It features essays, interviews, short-form fiction and editorials, which examine every aspect of our relationship with the regal creature. The site includes expert content, as well as user-generated content. It even showcases dog photography portraits.

The company’s mission is to celebrate dogs and our relationships with them by exploring life “through their eyes.” That’s a beautiful sentiment, right? What that means for the reader is an immersive, entertaining, engaging and meaningful experience.

The site was founded by dog-lover Joe Pappalardo, who was formerly chairman and CEO of JP Fragrances, Inc. before retiring. When he created the site, he brought in Amy Robinson as his animal behavior expert. Robinson is a certified evaluator and team member for Therapy Dogs International and has worked as a professional dog trainer for more than two decades. She’s been featured on TV as the pet expert on Lifetime’s The Balancing Act and Designing Spaces. She cared for imperiled animals in the wake of Hurricane Katrina and has rehabilitated former fighting dogs.

Along with CEO Guy Derry and Creative Director Nina Trasoff, the team has created an online community of people as passionate about dogs as they are. If you, too, are passionate about your pooch, why not submit your little pal’s photo for the world to admire? Include photo (minimum size 640px x 640px), name, breed, age and location. And to add some real personality, add a quote from your dog’s perspective and/or a story that summarizes your pet.
