Standoff In Beverly Hills After Chase, Crash: Police
A chase-turned-crash resulted in a barricade on Sunday, authorities said.
BEVERLY HILLS, CA — A vehicle chase ended in a crash-turned-standoff Sunday in Beverly Hills, according to police.
Officers received a license plate alert on a Ford pickup tied to a felony around 1:30 p.m., located the truck at San Vicente and Beverly boulevards, and tried to stop it, resulting in a short pursuit that ended when the pickup hit a vehicle at Burton Way and Robertson Boulevard, police said.
Officers were trying to negotiate an exit from the truck, and people were asked to stay away from the scene, according to police.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Special Enforcement Bureau was called to the barricade to take over tactical command, the agency said in an advisory around 6:45 p.m.
