Slow-Speed Tanker Truck Chase Winds Through LA
At one point, the tanker truck went through a construction zone, and a worker moved traffic cones out of its way.
BEVERLY HILLS, CA – A man was taken into custody Thursday after leading police on a slow-speed chase through Los Angeles and Beverly Hills in a stolen tanker truck.
The chase began shortly before 7 a.m. near Sixth Street and Curson Avenue in the Fairfax district and ended about a half hour later near the same location, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Along the way, the motorist led officers into nearby Beverly Hills, and then back to into Los Angeles, generally stopping for traffic signals. At one point, the tanker truck went through a construction zone, and a worker moved traffic cones out of its way.

About 7:25 a.m., the man stopped and got out of the truck and surrendered to officers. His name was not immediately released.
