Los Angeles, CA – June 16, 2014 – BH/GLAAR’s C.A.R.E. Project, and its founder Robin Greenberg, have been nominated for the Nonprofit Team of the Year and Volunteer of the Year awards at the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 4th Annual Nonprofit & Corporate Citizenship Awards luncheon on June 25, 2014.
Launched in 2011 by then President Robin Greenberg, the C.A.R.E. Project was developed to offer the REALTOR® community a means of giving back through Compassion, Acceptance, Respect, and Empowerment towards those less fortunate. Through collaborations with various deserving organizations throughout the year, the C.A.R.E. Project delivers resources and provide service to a wide range of Angelenos on a monthly basis.
The C.A.R.E. Project has worked with 12 different organizations since its launch, some of the recent organizations are: People Assisting The Homeless, West Side Homeless Outreach, The Bessie Pregerson Child Development Center program of the Salvation Army, and The Giving Spirit.
“It is our right to earn a living, and our choice to help those less fortunate. Whether through a monetary donation, a donation of basic necessities or simply donating a few hours of your time, every little bit is greatly appreciated,” says Greenberg. “We are honored by the nomination, and vow to continue our work for many years to come,” she said.
