Time's Women of the Year Honored at Beverly Hills Gala
From a non-profit founder to a country singer, Time's Women of the Year came together in Beverly Hills on International Women's Day.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Time's Women of the Year were honored Tuesday evening at a gala in Beverly Hills, coinciding with International Women's Day.
The honorees were:
- Tracy Chou, a co-founder of Project Include, a nonprofit organization seeking to accelerate diversity and inclusion in the tech industry
- Human rights attorney Amal Clooney
- Record-setting track star Allyson Felix
- Nasdaq CEO Adena Friedman
- Poet Amanda Gorman
- Sherrilyn Ifill, president and director-counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund
- Afghan journalist Zahra Joya
- Jennie Joseph, a health advocate for women and newborn babies
- Grammy-winning country singer Kacey Musgraves
- Amanda Nguyen, the founder and CEO of Rise, a coalition of sexual assault survivors and allies who fight for the rights of sexual violence survivors worldwide
- Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, the first transgender woman to earn an Emmy Award nomination in a major acting category
- Actress Kerry Washington, honored for her activism supporting grassroots organizations that empower marginalized groups
This is the first year Time has released a Women of the Year list and follows the magazine's Women of the Year project, which in 2020 recognized 100 leaders, innovators, activists, entertainers, athletes and artists who defined a century.
