Two Attempted Burglaries In Business District, Increased Security
Beverly Hills police are investigating two attempted burglaries Sunday night at retailers witnesses identified as Louis Vuitton and Saks.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — The Beverly Hills Police Department is investigating two attempted burglaries Sunday night in the business district, police said.
Witnesses identified the attempted break-in locations as the Louis Vuitton store at 259 N. Rodeo Drive and the Saks Fifth Avenue store at 9600 Wilshire Blvd., the Los Angeles Times reported.
Multiple suspects used sledgehammers to break through the front windows of the two buildings but did not enter either building, police said. Police have increased patrols around the two buildings with private security, police said.

Similar smash-and-grab robberies occurred over the weekend in the Bay Area and Chicago, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Police did not confirm whether the incidents were connceted to the Beverly Hills investigation.
