Viral Matcha And Coffee Chain Picks Beverly Hills, Studio City For 1st West Coast Locations

Fueled by TikTok-friendly drinks, the New York-born chain has grown to nearly 100 locations just six years after its founding.

Blank Street Coffee, the New York-born chain known for its social media-friendly matcha and coffee drinks, plans to open its first Los Angeles stores this summer, according to a report.

Blank Street is planning to open up new locations in Beverly Hills and Studio City. Both will open in June, according to Time Out.

The locations will be Blank Street's first West Coast locations. Since opening in 2020 in New York, the company has quickly grown to around 100 locations on the East Coast and in the U.K.

The company is in early discussions to raise $100 million or more in new funding to fuel its expansion, the Financial Times reported.

The business was valued at $500 million last year and could achieve a valuation of close to $1 billion as part of this latest funding round, according to the publication.
