• SDG&E power shutoffs start; could affect thousands of customers as temperatures soar (timesofsandiego.com) — Boulevard residents could temporarily lose electricity through Monday as SDG&E carries out Public Safety Power Shutoffs during extreme heat and Santa Ana winds. Nearly 35,000 customers across more than 30 San Diego County communities may be affected, with resource centers offering air conditioning, charging, and snacks. Officials urge residents to conserve power, especially between 4 and 9 p.m., and to monitor SDG&E’s outage map and alerts for updates.
