1 Dead, 2 Injured In Westwood-Area Crash
Police said a speeding Camaro slammed into a parked van on Wilshire Boulevard.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- One person was killed and two others were seriously hurt in a violent crash in Westwood this morning, police said.
The crash at 10300 Wilshire Blvd. was reported at 1:50 a.m., said Los Angeles police Officer Jenny Hauser.
A Chevrolet Camaro reported to have been speeding slammed into a parked van on Wilshire, killing a passenger and seriously injured two others, including the driver, who were taken to a hospital.

The person who died was a passenger in the front seat. The victim's gender and age were not immediately available. The person's name will be withheld until family notification.
The crash shut down a stretch of Wilshire Boulevard from Comstock Avenue on the east to Beverly Glen Boulevard on the west, according to police.
