Olympics 2012: Training Camp in Birmingham, England
Dr. Joel Bienenfeld's impressions of the track and field training camp in Birmingham, England.
Before the Olympics begin, the U.S. Track and Field Team arrives in Birmingham, England for training camp.
We are staying at the Hiatt hotel, which is very nice and the food is great. I have a roomate, who is one of the managers for USA Track and Field.
The athletes are starting to arrive and we are not too busy yet. I am getting to know the staff, coaches, and athletes. I work in the medical clinic at the hotel mostly, but we also do treatments at the practice track.

The medical staff consists of me and one other chiropractor, a medical doctor, a few athletic trainers, massage therapists, and a sports psychologist. The medical staff is very talented and really know what they are doing. There is a lot of excitement here, and and the people of Birmingham are happy to have us in their city. A few of the medical staff flew to Monaco for relay camp. There is a lot of security in the hotel and at the track.
