Brentwood Brush Fire Quickly Doused
The blaze charred about a half-acre of brush. There was no immediate word on what sparked the blaze.

BRENTWOOD, CA - Crews made quick work Monday of a half-acre brush fire in Brentwood.
No injuries were reported, and no structures were damaged in the fire, which started about 3:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of North Westridge Drive, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
There was no immediate word on what sparked the blaze.
