Brentwood Home Near Skirball Fire Burns
Fire damaged a two-story Brentwood home near the Skirball Fire Friday.

BRENTWOOD, CA — A greater alarm fire damaged a two-story home Friday evening in Brentwood near the Skirball Fire, but no one was injured.
The blaze was reported at 10:09 p.m. at 2287 N. Mandeville Canyon Road, said Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Responding firefighters saw flames shooting through the roof, Bastman said. It took 62 firefighters 35 minutes to knock down the blaze, she said.

A helicopter was used for observation due to the home being in a brush area, Bastman said.
The cause and loss were to be determined, and it wasn't immediately clear if the fire was connected to the Skirball Fire.
