“Bobby and the Angels,” out of Hollywood California, play great 50’s and 60’s Rock n’ Roll including many of the all-time coolest Surf and Car tunes.

Bobby Angel, front man for the band, and long time Sacramento Rock Radio DJ, has been performing Blues, Folk, and Rock guitar since age twelve. He is proud to be playing "the greatest music of all-time with musicians who love what they do."

Many of the finest talents in the business are formerly or currently “Angels” including Dani Ivory (Beyonce, Imagine Dragons), Joe Sublett (Taj Mahal, Blues Brothers, Stevie Ray Vaughn), Clint Feddersen (The Surreal McCoys), Mark Pont (Pretzel Logic), and Darren Lantello (Marmalade Skies).

“Bobby and the Angels” are fun to dance to, especially if you enjoy tunes from the 50’s & 60’s Beach Scene, e.g. “Walk Don’t Run”, “Surfin’ USA”, “Louie, Louie”, “Brown Eyed Girl”, “Sleepwalk," to name a few.
If you're lucky, the band might just go crazy with some Hot Rod Rockabilly like “Heartbreak Hotel”, “All Shook Up” “That’ll Be the Day”, “Hello Mary Lou,” and gently apply the brakes with “All I Have to Do is Dream.”

Bobby reveals that the group is "extremely happy to return for our third appearance at the Stephen S. Wise campus in Bel Air. Since our last visit, we've added some exceptional musicians and many new great songs from your favorite artists of the 50's 60's and 70's. Get set for some fun!"

Zeldin-Hershenson Hall is located at Stephen S. Wise Temple, 15500 Stephen S. Wise Drive, Bel Air, 90077 (please scroll down for directions).

This classy chic venue has a beautiful comfy cozy ambience. Participate in mixers and ice breakers perfect for mingling. Dance hosts are available, excellent for inspiration.

These lauded Social Circle Events began 15 years ago. There have been 80 dances in all. John Seeman has been hosting them on his own for the past ten.

John loves “Seeing people having a good time; Seeing a man and woman meeting for the first time; seeing them both smiling and content; Seeing people greet friends they haven’t seen in a while. I’m happy in general when I feel folks are enjoying themselves.”

He also finds pleasure in welcoming guests as they arrive and seeing old and new faces. For John, “It feels like a real community of friendly, supportive people.”

John looks forward to working with volunteers who have given so much of their time to providing a great experience; Dancing to some good old rock n’ roll; and doing whatever’s necessary to make sure everyone’s having a wonderful time.

“To make sure you get your money’s worth,” is John’s mission, which is why, “Everything is included: Live Band, Complete Dinner, Dessert, Wine, Beer, Soft Drinks… Plenty of free parking.”

Neither John nor the many volunteers receive any money. Admission all goes to food, band, decorations, room rental, etc. He reveals, “We are completely self sufficient.”

John encourages you to “Give us a try. If you’re not happy with your experience, I will refund your money, no questions asked.”

Reservations aren’t necessary. Just pay at the door. Contact John at 310-204-1240 or johnseeman@aol.com.
