Contra Costa County Genealogical Society Fall, October 17, 2015, Seminar "Bringing Your Ancestors Back to the Future Using 21st Century Tool

On Saturday October 17, 2015, 8:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m., the Contra Costa County Genealogical Society will offer a genealogy seminar at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 1601 Mary Drive, Pleasant Hill. The featured speakers will be Kathryn M. Marshall PhD., Director of the Lodi California Family History Center and member of the Advisory Board for the California Pioneer Heritage Foundation and James M. Baker, PhD., CG, Board Certified Genealogist and contributor to the National Society Magazine.
Dr. Marshall has written many biographical sketches of pioneers, edited historical reference books, and published maps. The topics she will be presenting are “Changing Boundaries and Lost Ancestors” and”Locating your Ancestors with Animap, Historic MapWorks, BLM and Google Earth”.
Dr. Baker is a frequent genealogy lecturer at local, regional and national conferences. His topics will be “2015 Genealogy Staying Current with your research: Up-to-Date Tools and Resources” and “Expanding Frontier: Can You Find the Early 1800’s US Data on Line?”.
