Grass Fire Next To 405 Freeway Clogs West LA Traffic

A small fire is burning near Wilshire Boulevard and the 405/10 Freeway tranistion.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A small grass fire near the 405 Freeway and 10 Freeway transition is causing traffic havoc in the West Los Angeles Area.

The fire, which was reported around 12:30 p.m., is not threatening any structures nor triggering closures, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.

“We have two fire companies on scene at 405 and Wilshire Boulevard,” she said.

The fire is small, and crews at the scene are not requesting additional units. However, because of its proximity to two freeways, the fire is causing traffic in the region.
