Lemonade Coming Soon to Brentwood Village, We Hope
After some delays, Lemonade owners promise a May opening.
For months, motorists and pedestrians on Barrington in Brentwood Village have been teased by Lemonade's "coming soon" signs in the window of the former Indian place on the west side of the street.
"Do you happen to know when Lemonade will be opening?" @marvistafc asked @BrentwoodPatch on Twitter.
When our readers want to know, we want to find out, so we asked the boss:

Co-owner of Lemonade Restaurant Group Ian Olsen is hoping for "a big opening" on May 1 in the former Claypit Indian Restaurant location.
The chain also plans to branch out to LAX and Pasadena in the coming months.

"We are going to do something cool, but I don't want to spill the beans," Olsen said.
The owners are still smoothing out the kinks while preparing for the opening and cannot commit to a precise date, but assure us it will happen in the coming weeks, hopefully the beginning of May.
"They said 40 days, but that was about 40 days ago," joked an employee at the Venice Beach location. "They're still under construction," she said.
If you haven't visited Lemonade yet, expect a modern twist on a nostalgic concept: part lemonade stand, part grade-school cafeteria with trays you'd find in a food court.
And, of course, there's an array of flavored lemonades.
Food includes grilled cheese with ham on pumpernickel, snap pea and edamame salad, and lemon meringue pie. There are also lots of vegetable options, salads, braises and stews.
Lemonade Brentwood: 145 S. Barrington Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90049.
