Mani, Pedi and Me Chillax at the Nail Garden

There's nothing like the pampering of a manicure/pedicure to help you over a hectic week.

When Nail Garden invited Brentwood Patch for a free tryout,  I happily accepted.

I was all business when I strode into the –enthusiastic and excited. Organization freak that I am, I was primed to check another item off of my to-do list.

I left the salon a different, more relaxed person.

You will too.

The Nail Garden opened in Brentwood Gardens on San Vicente in February.

Owned by husband and wife Fady and Reham Bastawros, and Matt Awad, who is Reham's brother, Nail Garden now has four Los Angeles' locations: Brentwood, plus Burbank, Sherman Oaks and Studio City.

It aspires to be a serene, affordable alternative to chichi Brentwood nail salons. It succeeds.

Granted, I got the full on Indulgent Bliss Spa Combo Treatment ($69), complete with warm towl wrap, hot paraffin wax, sea salt scrub, massage and more. Manicure-pedicure combos start at $30; a Classic Manicure is $17 and Classic Pedicure is $23. There is also a Decadent Spa Combo for $40 and a Garden Deluxe Spa Combo for $59.

Service was excellent. Members of the staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and ensure I had a pleasant experience. The warm atmosphere and relaxing music certainly added to the mood. The mocha from the complimentary cappuccino bar was a nice touch.

Stop by for Happy Hour on Monday through Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and enjoy a glass of wine with your mani-pedi combo. There's also a "kids menu" for when you want to "escape" with your little princess, and options for Nail Garden Parties. (A Princess Manicure is $11, a Princess Pedicure is $16 and a Kids Spa Mani-Pedi is $26.)

Whether you desire a simple mani-pedi, nail enhancements, waxing, tinting, eyelash extensions or the full-on works, there's something that will put you in a happy mood.

If you need a Great Escape without leaving Brentwood, give the Nail Garden a try. Believe me. This is one Garden where you will want to indulge frequently.
