The Archer School for Girls is treasured by Angelenos for its historic location, including the school's iconic front lawn. And this spring, as has been the tradition for 35 years, predating Archer's presence on the site, the annual Maypole once again has been raised in celebration of Spring. Archer students and parents gather, prance and dance for the raising ritual, and the landmark Maypole will stand its ground proudly until the final day of the Archer school calendar, June 5. Archer is located at 11725 Sunset Boulevard in the community of Brentwood just west of Barrington.
