Small Brush Fire Scorches Sepulveda Pass

A slow moving fire burned Thursday night near Skirball Center Drive.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A slow-moving fire burned about a quarter-acre of vegetation Thursday evening near the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway in the Sepulveda Pass.

The non-injury fire was reported at 10:04 p.m. near Skirball Center Drive and knocked down in 23 minutes by 46 firefighters, said Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

No structures were threatened by the fire, Bastman said.
