You bring any book you like, read quietly for an hour in a public spot, then can stick around to chat with fellow book lovers. Organizers say these gatherings especially help newcomers make friends and rediscover focused, screen-free reading time.
   

• More Than a Game: How T.H.I.N.K. Gold Is Building the Next Generation of Bay Area Women (49ers.com) — Burlingame High School student-athletes joined peers from across the Bay Area at Levi's Stadium for the 49ers' T.H.I.N.K. Gold Conference, a day focused on training, mental health, nutrition, and leadership. Participants heard from women working in football, practiced on-field skills, and took home resources like Safeway gift cards and Nike gear. The event aims to build confidence and community among young women in sports.
