1st Annual Bark For Life Calabasas Dog Walk

Sunday September 20, 2015 Celebrate Remember Bark Back and Helping the fight against cancer with the American Cancer Society

The American Cancer Society’s Bark For Life honors the care giving qualities of our canine companions and care givers. Our canine companions love us unconditionally and show it every day. They wait for us to walk through the door after a long day at work with wagging tails and doggie excitement that can change anyone’s mood in a minute. Lying next to us when we are feeling under the weather, just to be there and love us. The 1st annual Bark For Life Calabasas event is being held at the Los Angeles Pet Memorial Park, which is tucked in the hills off Parkway Calabasas and is celebrating its 88th Anniversary on September 4, 2015. Los Angeles Pet Memorial Park is truly unique, because it belongs to each and every one of us. It is a place where memories live forever. S.O.P.H.I.E is a non- profit group that maintains the care of the memorial park, which is the resting place of more than 50,000 animal companions. Since Bark For Life is about Celebrating our canine companions, it felt fitting to have a Bark For Life event at the Los Angeles Pet Memorial Park as a place to celebrate our canine companions and celebrate the spirits of the beloved animals in the memorial park as we also bark back against cancer with the American Cancer Society.

Bark For Life is raising money to help the American Cancer Society support community programs (Look Good Feel Better, Road To Recovery, Reach To Recovery, I Can Cope, Cancer Survivors Network, Man To Man), support groups, fund grants to help find a cure and save lives. The American Cancer Society is always there for those in need in our communities you can contact someone 24/7 at 800-227-2345 or look for information at cancer.org.
