Alleged Shoplifters Arrested; Expensive Jewelry Stolen
Two suspects are booked on suspicion of stealing liquor bottles; more than $40,000 worth of jewelry is stolen in a home burglary.

Two people were arrested Feb. 2 on suspicion of shoplifting more than $400 worth of liquor bottles from area businesses, according to deputies.
Jason Mango, 35, of Los Angeles and Carrie Porter, 29, of Bellflower, were booked for burglary after they allegedly walked out of two stores with unpaid bottles, a deputy's report read.
The manager of the at the said he saw the suspects walk out of his store and remove unpaid bottles from underneath their clothing. The manager said he also noticed that several liquor bottles were removed from the shelves.
After the manager phoned the sheriff's station, deputies contacted other stores in the area to be on alert for shoplifting activity.
Later in the day, the manager of Rite Aid in Agoura Hills said he saw two people walk out of his store with liquor bottles that they did not pay for. His description of the supects matched that of Mango's and Porter's, deputies said.
The manager obtained the suspects' license plate number and deputies eventually pulled them over on Kanan Road in Agoura Hills, the deputy's report read.
Deputies found the stolen bottles in the backseat of the vehicle and subsequently placed Mango and Porter under arrest.

More than $40,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from a residence in the 3500 block of Adamsville Road, deputies said.
The home burglary occurred sometime between 7:53 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. on Feb. 6, a deputy's report read.
The victim said she returned home from work to find a sliding glass door open and her bedroom ransacked.
Various jewelery boxes were emptied and found on the bed, deputies said
Stolen belongings include:
- A $17,000 size six yellow gold ring with a 3.6 carat diamond
- Three size six yellow gold rings with a band of diamonds valued collectively at $6,000
- An 18-carat white gold necklace with two squares with diamonds valued at $7,500.
- A pair of white gold earrings with 1.6 carat diamonds valued at $5,000.
- A $5,000 size six yellow gold ring bearing the initial "M."
