CALABASAS, CA — Two men were killed over the weekend in a high-speed crash on Mulholland Highway, authorities said.
Driver Omri Moalem and passenger Yanir Ruham both died of blunt-force trauma, KTLA reported, noting the incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
The crash happened on the southbound highway, just south of Dry Canyon Cold Creek Road in Calabasas, where a gray Porsche two-door convertible collided with a fire hydrant, an iron fence and a tree before landing upside down, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The 45-year-old driver and 37-year-old passenger died at the scene, authorities said, noting that speed was a contributing factor and the driver had lost control of the vehicle.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station at 818-878-1808, or anonymously call 800-222-8477, download the P3 app or visit lacrimestoppers.org, according to authorities.
