Another Alleged Gelson's Shoplifter Arrested; Money Stolen at Viewpoint School
A second person in April is arrested on suspicion of stealing liquor bottles from the grocery.

Alleged vodka shoplifter arrested at Gelson's
A Van Nuys man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting four liquor bottles from on April 26, deputies said.
The store director witnessed Seryeja Mardoyan, 27, removing two bottles of Grey Goose and two bottles of Belvedere Vodka from a store shelf and concealing it under his shirt.

The director said he was keeping an eye on Mardoyan because he recognized the suspect from a similar shoplifting incident on April 18.
Deputies said the store director and three other employees followed Mardoyan and tried to prevent him from running away.

The suspect became apologetic and offered to pay for the broken bottle. Store employees then recovered the remaining three vodka bottles from Mardoyan, deputies said.
Deputies arrested Mardoyan on scene following an investigation.
Mardoyan pleaded not to be placed under arrest because he is getting married soon and feared his fiancee would leave him if he got into more trouble, deputies said.
The suspect told deputies that he was planning on selling the stolen vodka bottles to liquor stores in either Burbank in Glendale, according to a police report.
Mardoyan added that he is on probation for possession for heroin and has been arrested several times.
Deputies said similar shoplifting incidents have been reported at the Gelson’s in Sherman Oaks and Hollywood and that Mardoyan “highly resembles” the suspects in those offenses.

About $1,500 in U.S. currency was stolen from the drawer of a desk located in the advancement office of , deputies said.
The theft happened sometime between 3:15 p.m. on April 26 and 10:30 a.m. on Aril 27, they added.
The victim said several employees have an electric key card, which is necessary to gain access to the office.
There were no security cameras at the location. The victim stated it would provide detectives with a list of school employees at a later date.
Stolen jewelry
About $18,000 in jewelry was burglarized from a residence in the 25000 bock of Prado Del Grandioso, sheriff’s deputies said.
The theft occurred sometime between Dec. 10, 2010 and April 22, according to a police report.
The victim waited months to report her missing jewelry because she thought she misplaced them, deputies said.
A $14,000 Tiffany’s Eternity size seven wedding band bearing 20 to 25 diamonds, a $2,500 Hermes watch with a white leather strap and a $1,500 Chanel silver chain necklace were last seen in the master bedroom of the home.
Deputies did not find any signs of forced entry.
