Boys in Action
Members of the Boys in Action group at Chaparral Elementary School and A.C. Stelle Middle School pitch in their time to help the needy.
Hello, my name is Jonah Goldberg and I am an 11-year-old boy from Calabasas. I belong to a community service group called Boys in Action.
Boys in Action helps the community of Calabasas and many other cities year-round, by volunteering in many diverse environments such as entertaining senior citizens, feeding the homeless at the San Fernando Valley Mission and having bake sales to raise money for a number of different causes. Our group recently raised over $1,000 for the Cookies for Kids Cancer foundation.
On Wednesday, our last meeting of the year, we helped an organization known as MyStuff Bags Foundation.

MyStuff provides and sends backpacks to orphaned or homeless kids around the country, who have been abused or neglected.
These backpacks are filled with blankets, stuffed animals, and many different toys and books for the kids. There are even separate bags for toothbrushes, because most of these kids have absolutely nothing. MyStuff sends about 30,000 of these backpacks a year!

The most awesome part of my experience at the My Stuff Bags Foundation, though, is that we helped to fill 400 backpacks for these children! Overall, it was a great experience, and I know that our group will help them again next year.
