Burglary at Lupin Hill Elementary; Christmas Gifts Stolen
More than $1,300 is stolen from a local school and burglars steal electronics that were meant to be holiday gifts.

Lupin Hill Elementary burglarized
More than $1,300 was stolen from the snack shack at according to deputies.
The burglary occurred sometime between 5 p.m. on Dec. 10 and 10 a.m. on Dec. 11, deputies said.
Prior to gaining entry to the snack shack, the burglar broke an electrical panel, located on the west side of the structure, a deputy's report read.
The panel, which requires a combination, contained keys that were used to open the front door of the shack, the report stated.
The burglar stole $60 dollars worth of rolled quarters that were stored on a shelf and $1,252 from a small drop safe after it was pried open, authorities said.
A pair of Bose speakers valued at $500 was also stolen from the shack, according to deputies.
There are no surveillance cameras at the location.
Christmas gifts stolen in vehicle burglary
iPod speakers, DVD players, a salad set and a Hugo Boss T-shirt that were meant to be Christmas gifts were stolen from a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence in the 4420 block of Alta Tupelo, deputies said.
The vehicle burglary happened between 9:43 p.m. and 9:48 p.m. on Nov. 30, according to a deputy's report.
The victim said she had left the items in the trunk of her unlocked car. While reviewing surveillance footage, deputies spotted two men jumping a fence to gain entry into the housing track.
Five minutes later, cameras recorded footage of the burglars leaving the housing track carrying a large white shopping bag, deputies said. No vehicle was spotted.
After reviewing the footage, the victim said she recognized the shopping bag, but not the thieves, authorities said.
One of the burglars had light hair, while the other had dark hair and was wearing a hoodie, deputies said. No further description details are available at this time.
