Burglary at Saddle Peak Lodge; Firearms Stolen
Money is stolen from the safe of a local restaurant; a burglar steals a shotgun and a rifle.

Money stolen from restaurant
A little more than $1,400 was stolen from a safe at according to sheriff's deputies.
The theft occurred sometime between 1:50 a.m. on Jan. 1, when the manager left for the day, and 6 p.m. on Jan. 2, deputies said.
The manager said she is convinced the money was stolen because the balance in the safe in the morning differed from the night before.
She also said that it's possible someone left the safe open, something that's has happened before.
There are no security cameras at the location, deputies said.

Two Macbooks and other personal belongings were stolen from a residence in the 26000 block of Alsace Drive in the gated Mont Calabasas community, according to deputies.
The burglary happened sometime between midnight and 8 a.m. on Jan. 2, deputies said.
The victim said he locked the front door of the house before going to sleep and found that the burglar opened the garage door to gain entry.
Deputies said they were unable to find out how the garage door was opened.
A 3-year-old MacBook Pro, a 2-year-old MacBook Air and a Patagonia canvas bag containing credit cards and IDs were stolen from the downstairs office of the residence, deputies said.
Shotgun, rifle stolen
A 12-gauge shotgun and a semi-automatic rifle were stolen from a home in the 4700 block of Park Granada on Jan. 10, according to a deputy's report.
The theft occurred sometime between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., the report read.
Deputies said they were unable to find any signs of forced entry.
The shotgun was valued at $500 and the rifle was reportedly worth $1,000 deputies said. A $1,500 dark gray Sony laptop was also stolen. A bag containing 100 items of jewelry was also taken, but the victims said they would provide the details of those goods at a later date.
