Calabasas Could See Power Outages Through Friday

Southern California Edison could cut off power between Wednesday and Friday in parts of Calabasas due to high fire risk weather conditions.

CALABASAS, CA — Parts of Calabasas could see power outages due to high fire risk weather conditions, according to Southern California Edison.

The power outages will likely happen south of the State Route 101 (Ventura Freeway) in Calabasas and Hidden Hills, all the way to Malibu, according to the SCE outage map.

The outages are called Public Safety Power Shutoffs, and they occur when there is a chance SCE equipment could ignite a fire given weather conditions.
