Set in the fictional town of Hope Falls, West Virginia, three teenagers; Ron, Rick and Ruthie Taylor discover an interesting creature – something that is half boy, half bat.

In the musical, Bat Boy learns to speak from his adoptive family, yearns for acceptance and tries to join society, only to face hatred and violence from a town that fears him and jealous rage from his foster father.
"We are proud to be bringing Bat Boy The Musical, a quirky and heartfelt story ripped from the tabloids, to the Calabasas High School stage this summer," a theater spokesperson said.
