Calabasas Man Fatally Struck by Car
Resident Bahman Sedighan is hit by a car while crossing the street Tuesday in West Los Angeles.

Authorities Thursday identified a Calabasas man who was struck by a vehicle and killed in West Los Angeles.
He was Bahman Sedighan, 66, said Lt. Joe Bale of the Los Angeles County coroner's office.
Sedighan was struck around 9:40 p.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of South Sepulveda Boulevard near Missouri Avenue and was pronounced dead at a hospital, said Officer Karen Rayner of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section.

He was not in a crosswalk when he was struck, said Officer D. Sledge of the LAPD's West Traffic Division.
Sepulveda Boulevard was closed at the crash scene as police investigated the fatality, Rayner said.

The driver stopped and was questioned at the scene. He was not cited or arrested, Sledge said.
