City Announces 'Calabasas Acknowledges' Award Winners

The awards honor leaders who "selflessly give their time, effort, dedication, and so much more in serving Calabasas," the City said.

From The City of Calabasas: On January 5, 2019, in conjunction with its annual holiday celebration at Calamigos Ranch, The City of Calabasas hosted its inaugural “The City of Calabasas Acknowledges” awards, honoring leaders who selflessly give their time, effort, dedication, and so much more in serving Calabasas. The event was open to City employees and staff, elected officials, commissioners, and community leaders. Nearly 300 guests attended. Emmy Award winning KTLA Weekend Anchor and Reporter, Rick Chambers, was on hand to announce the service awards.

 2018 CREATING COMMUNITY THROUGH COMMERCE – Rick Lemmo, Senior Vice President of Community Relations at Caruso Affiliated Holdings, LLC.
 2018 HUMANITARIAN AWARD – Alexander Lovi, Lovi’s Delicatessen Owner
 2018 OUTSTANDING CRISIS COMMUNICATION – Deborah Steller, Media, Library, and Information Services Director

In looking to select award recipients for the 2019 “City of Calabasas Acknowledges” awards to be held January 4, 2020, Calabasas needs the community’s help. If you know someone who goes above and beyond in making Calabasas a better place to live, work, and play, you are encouraged to submit their name, contact information, and in 100 words or less detail their contribution(s). Nominations will be received until NOVEMBER 1, 2019 at 2019Awards@CityofCalabasas.com or to 100 Civic Center Way, Calabasas, CA 91302.
