The Dailey Method Calabasas Opens in a Fresh New Space

The new ballet barre exercise studio will tone and strengthen the body with free classes at 8:30am & 9:45am May 1st through May 3rd.

CALABASAS, CA, April 27, 2015 — Re-Opening its doors to the public on May 1st, the Dailey Method Calabasas will provide their clients with an effective low-impact workout that will sculpt, strengthen and align their bodies just in time for summer.

It used to be you had to go to the local bar to find a place where everybody knows your name. But in 2015, it’s a different kind of barre serving as the daily neighborhood hangout. At the Dailey Method in Calabasas, everyone knows your name, your fitness challenges and individualized goals. The efficient full-body workout which combines ballet barre work, core conditioning and strength training sculpts, tones and lengthens muscles in an efficient one-hour class.

Founded in 2000 by Jill Dailey McIntosh, The Dailey Method was the first barre class on the West Coast and is the only barre class founded by an instructor with a degree in kinesiology. The knowledgeable instructors blend together a strenuous workout with a dose of mind-body consciousness that leaves Dailey devotees with a natural high. Your abs will quiver, your legs will shake, and your arms will tingle as your body becomes stronger and more powerful. No wonder Dailey diehards claim they are addicted to this barre!

The new studio is located at 3840 Old Topanga Canyon Road in the Calabasas Place Plaza. The renovated space is open and bright with a calming atmosphere. The studio includes an exercise room with cork floors that can accommodate up to 18 people, the only barre studio to provide a child care room so new mothers don’t have to worry about balancing childcare and their health, lockers and a small retail shop, where you can purchase gear hand selected by the studio’s co-owners Lauren Potter and Helga Theodors with a focus on LA designers; brands include Alo, Gwenyth, Beyond Yoga, Dino, Onzie, bkr water bottles and more.

Lauren and Helga both fell in love with The Dailey Method while living in the Bay Area. After seeing amazing changes in their bodies (improved posture, longer and leaner muscles), and becoming part of such a supportive and uplifting TDM community inside and outside of the studio, both of them knew that they wanted to be able to provide the same experience to others. After relocating to Los Angeles, Lauren and Helga teamed up to bring their passion for TDM to the Calabasas studio.
