[VIDEO] Edgy 'Avenue Q' Comes to Calabasas High

An edited version of the play for the adults will be performed by local students.

The puppets of Avenue Q and their brand of off-color humor will hit the stage at all week for performances of Avenue Q: School Edition.

The original version of the Tony award-winning musical debuted nearly a decade ago and became infamous for its raunchy humor.

A satire of Sesame Street, Avenue Q tells the story of Princeton, a recent college grad who's trying to adjust to the real world and find his purpose in life.

Some scenes and profanity have been removed for the student version, but director Bill Garrett says the edited version is still recommended for audiences ages 13 or older.
