CALABASAS, CA — A motorist is now in custody after taking California Highway Patrol officers on a wild, two-hour ride crisscrossing Los Angeles, from the San Fernando Valley to San Pedro.
The chase began at 4:58 p.m. Tuesday when a CHP officer pulled over a gray car for speeding and erratic driving on the eastbound 101 Freeway near Las Virgenes Road in Calabasas, according to CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig.
The suspect pulled over for officers and them a driver’s license before speeding off, according to NBC4. Police followed the driver as they quickly wove through streets in Woodland Hills, Encino, and Sherman Oaks, sometimes driving on the wrong side of the road.

Despite two LAPD units and a helicopter following the vehicle, aerial video from Sky5 shows the car evading officers by continuously weaving very quickly through traffic.
At 5:40 p.m., the driver got on the southbound 405 towards the Sepulveda Pass, weaving in and out of lanes to avoid traffic. Aerial video shows that the car hit another vehicle while on the 405, but sped into the right shoulder and continued into Culver City, down to Inglewood near LAX, and toward Redondo Beach.
