Free Restorative Yoga Class at Symmetry Pilates and Yoga

This form of yoga is among those that help to balance the autonomic nervous system. This is done by placing the body in comfortable/restorative positions that are held for 3-5 minutes, allowing the muscles to soften and tension to release.  This along with focus on the breath, allows calming of the nervous system and quieting of the mind. A combination of bolsters, blankets, and blocks are used for this practice. The class is being taught by Merissa Marcucella.
