November 24, 2010, CALABASAS – Congregation Or Ami is proud to partner with the Union of Reform Judaism (URJ) to bring its Introduction to Judaism course to the west San Fernando and Conejo Valleys. Classes will be held at Or Ami on Thursdays, at 7:00 pm, beginning Thursday, December 2, 2010.

Introduction to Judaism is an 18-session course that offers a meaningful, education experience for anyone interested in understanding Judaism and Jewish spiritual life. The course is designed for Jews looking to rediscover Judaism, interfaith couples, non-Jewish spouses/partners, and people considering conversion. Adults interested in becoming an Adult Bar or Bat Mitzvah should sign up for this course.

Rabbi Paul Kipnes, spiritual leader of Congregation Or Ami, describes this learning opportunity as "one of the most powerful learning experiences for people interesting in discovering or exploring the breadth of Jewish tradition, celebration and ritual."
