This interactive presentation will share how to effectively communicate with your kids about sex, drugs, love and more. The program is appropriate for parents or grandparents with children of any age, and for adults working with teens and pre-teens.
Rabbi Paul Kipnes, father of three children ages 15 to 20, understands parenting as a process of taking deep breaths, picking your battles, setting high moral standards and being clear about expectations. “Raising children is not always fun and can be incredibly exhausting and anxiety-inducing. But with forethought, clear values, and pre-thinking through conflict areas, we will schepp nachas (share the joy) as our children grow into mature, decent adults,” he states.
Rabbi Kipnes’ Ten Tips for Raising Decent Jewish Teens and Pre-teens is Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 6:30 pm at Congregation Or Ami, 26115 Mureau Rd. Suite B, Calabasas, CA 91302. RSVP to Karen Moore (Karen@orami.org) or call 818.880.4880. There is no charge to attend. Free childcare is available with advanced reservation.
